Immunisations

We all want our children to be free from unwanted illnesses, but we do want an informed choice. We always recommend you seek professional health care advice in areas such as immunisations.

Childhood Immunisations

Immunisations are essential tool in the fight against serious but common childhood illness and infection that can debilitate or even kill.  Recent modifications in the way that some immunisations are administered have caused great controversy and debate.  The consequences being that the uptake for those immunisations have fallen and we are told that the illness that those immunisations are meant to prevent have been on the increase where in previous controversy free years the illness has almost been eradicated.

Your Health Visitor, GP or Practice nurse will be able to talk you through the immunisations required.  A schedule of immunisations is available here to review, but will be provided in leaflet form by your Health Visitor.
