Winner of the Child Carer of the Year Award

Congratulations to Patricia Holland who wins the 500 prize. Thanks to all of you who nominated.

Guernseymums.gg was proud to support Lloyds TSB Child Carer of the Year Award.  We think that this was a really important campaign, which not only benefits the utlimate winner to the tune of £500, but also helps to promote awareness about child care in Guernsey. 

It's not only child care that we pay for in the form of child-minders, nannies, nursery and pre-school staff, but family members, friends and volunteers who all often give that extra love and time to our children that helps us to get on with our daily lives. 

Ultimately, our lives and even our Island economy are structured around our reliance on others providing care for our children - so Lloyds TSB Child Carer of the Year Award really is a great way of applauding the efforts and care that others take with our children.
